IPN Sponsors First-Ever Super Bowl Lactation Accommodations

In partnership with MESH, IPN is proud to offer the first-ever lactation accommodations at the Super Bowl XLVI.  Located at the Super Care Clinic, an urgent care center in the heart of Super Bowl Village, the room offers women attending Super Bowl events a free private, comfortable space to pump or breastfeed.

The room is equipped with chairs, a hospital-grade Medela pump and individual-user kits, informational materials, a TV, and activities for siblings.  “This represents an innovative and unique approach to integrating lactation accommodations into a major sporting event venue,” said State Breastfeeding Coordinator Tina Cardarelli IBCLC.  Click here to see photos of the lactation room.

The Super Care Clinic is a full-service clinic operated by a coalition of Indianapolis-area healthcare facilities.  Its operations are being overseen by MESH, a non-profit organization that enables healthcare providers to effectively respond to emergency events and remain viable through recovery.  Conveniently located in Union Station at 300 S. Meridian Street, the Super Care Clinic will be open during peak periods from January 27 through February 5, 2012, with 24-hour coverage during Super Bowl weekend. Visitors and fans can contact the Super Care Clinic by phone at (317) 636-CARE (2273).
