Program Spotlight
- Indiana Access (Friendly AccessSM): IPN collaborates with health care systems, agencies and individuals in Marion County for this initiative that aims to improve health outcomes among low-income mothers and their children by increasing accessibility to and utilization of maternal and child health services. The first pilot project in the state is in Marion County.
- Baby First... Right From the Start!: A multi-media outreach campaign targeting expectant mothers with messages on the importance of prenatal care and a healthy lifestyle. For professionals, a digital toolkit is available to facilitate community implementation.
- Breastfeeding: To promote the benefits of breastfeeding while helping to ensure that professionals deliver technically and culturally competent services, IPN facilitates the integration of breastfeeding training. A multimedia approach targets consumers with positive breastfeeding images across diverse cultures; as well as messages via health care systems and workplace and educational centers.
- Safe Sleeping: Reaching a consensus on the issues of safety and sleep, a subcommittee of experts convened by IPN identified and made a series of recommendations that serve as the basis for consumer educational messages.
