Indiana Access (Friendly Access^SM): IPN collaborates with health care systems, agencies and individuals in Marion County for this initiative that aims to improve health outcomes among low-income mothers and their children by increasing accessibility to and utilization of maternal and child health services. The first pilot project in the state is in Marion County.
Baby First... Right From the Start!: A multi-media outreach campaign targeting expectant mothers with messages on the importance of prenatal care and a healthy lifestyle. For professionals, a digital toolkit is available to facilitate community implementation.
Breastfeeding: To promote the benefits of breastfeeding while helping to ensure that professionals deliver technically and culturally competent services, IPN facilitates the integration of breastfeeding training. A multimedia approach targets consumers with positive breastfeeding images across diverse cultures; as well as messages via health care systems and workplace and educational centers.
Safe Sleeping: Reaching a consensus on the issues of safety and sleep, a subcommittee of experts convened by IPN identified and made a series of recommendations that serve as the basis for consumer educational messages.
