Breastfeeding is one of the best things you can do to give your baby a healthy start. Breast milk has all the nutrients your baby needs, and breastfed babies are less likely to have health problems like ear infections. It is best to give your baby only breast milk for the first six months.

Drop In Centers

Many hospitals and community organizations offer free drop-in centers where you can have your baby weighed and get support from lactation consultants and other moms.

Well Baby Wednesdays at Walgreens

The Walgreens by Glendale Mall in Indianapolis (62nd and Keystone Ave.) offers a free breastfeeding support EVERY WEDNESDAY from 10 am - noon. No appointment needed! Includes baby weight checks, consultations with an IBCLC and pharmacist, breast pump rental, coupons and giveaways, and more!

Indiana WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children) If you or your baby is eligible for Medicaid, you will likely be eligible for the Women, Infant and Children Program (WIC).
